2023 Syllabus

Candidates who choose to stay with the current program will not be affected as long as they finish their exams by the final October 2026 exam session. After that point, they will be converted over to the new syllabus.

Replacing the previous exams, there will be two ways to obtain the CBEPS Certificate of Completion:

  1. Completing an online surveying/geomatics engineering degree through a CBEPS accredited educational institution;
    OR
  2. Completing all the requirements of the new CBEPS National Syllabus through the online or in-person courses that meet the CBEPS requirements.

Documents showing which course is required for which item of the new syllabus will be available for each institution as soon as possible. This will include courses from technical colleges that cover some of the items required, and whether the courses are online, in-person, or a hybrid.

Some may not be available for certain institutions as they make changes to their curriculum. Contact the institution or the Registrar for clarifications on courses.

The University of New Brunswick has developed a fully hybrid degree program, with all classes available in-person, but also streamed and recorded. More information is available here.
